Signs You Need a New Battery
There are common signs associated with needing a new car battery. They are generally easy to spot. If you're vehicle is having trouble starting routinely, that's the first sign. Another is not being able to hold a charge meaning you can start it, but it won't stay on. If this is happening often, it's time to get your battery leveled checked, and potentially replaced.
In cold winter mornings it cars and SUVs will have a tougher time starting, and maybe one really cold day after not driving for a while, your vehicle needs a jump. Or, you might have left an indoor light on and that drained the battery so you need it started. These instances could lower battery life, but usually with a jump start and a solid charging time (keeping the vehicle running and driving), you should be okay. However, it's always a good idea to check. It's better to be ahead of a car battery dying completely at an inopportune time.
