- How do I order the new ID.4? You start the process by following the above link and clicking "Build & Reserve Your ID.4." After entering your zip code, you'll be able to choose your color, trim levels, and options.
- Do I have to pay upfront to reserve the ID.4? Placing the order requires a fully refundable reservation deposit of $100. Once the vehicle arrives at our dealership, Ourisman Volkswagen of Bethesda will contact you to complete the final financing or lease details.
- How will I know when my ID.4 is ready? Once the vehicle is assigned a VIN, you'll be able to track its progress and shipment through the My ID.4 Reservation page. And when it's finally available here at the dealership, one of our friendly representatives will be in touch to finish the process.
- Can I order the new ID.4 with all-wheel drive? Yes, VW is taking orders for the dual-motor 302-horsepower AWD version of the ID.4. However, deliveries for the AWD ID.4 are expected to begin in the final quarter of 2021.
- Is the VW ID.4 eligible for a federal tax credit? Yes! As of April 2021, the ID.4 is eligible for a federal tax credit of $7,500.
- Is the VW ID.4 eligible for a Maryland rebate? Maryland's electric vehicle rebate program is no longer going on. However, the state still offers assistance towards EV ownership via the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate program, which provides up to $700 for individuals towards the cost of purchasing and installing home charging equipment.
